MBPM:Project Management 
acquisition in China

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of MB Project Management (MBPM), one of China’s premier project management consultants. The acquisition enables us to broaden our local delivery of built asset consultancy services to our client base across China and other Asian markets.

Following the deal, MBPM will operate under the EC Harris brand providing consulting services across China through presences in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.  Combining the strength of the MBPM team, we will be focusing on sectors identified for further growth within China including aviation, property, investors, retail, health and transportation. MBPM Managing Director Mark Budden will become joint EC Harris regional leader for China with Simon Baxter.

MBPM is a project management consultancy operating out of wholly-owned offices in Shanghai and Beijing with over 30 employees. The deal will create a network of experienced, professional service delivery teams on the ground in Shanghai – where we and MBPM both have strong presences – Beijing, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. The acquisition will build a new platform in China for our built asset consultancy space.
