Hong Kong Insight - Summer 2009 Introduction
During the first half of 2009 large amounts of
money were invested in attempts to stimulate world growth. In China
the government committed US$586 billion to kick start the economy
with the money focussed on supporting a rapid expansion of
government infrastructure and a revival in housing investment.
