EC Harris appointed to Phase One of Kings Cross development

[October 2009]

International Built Asset Consultancy EC Harris has supported One Housing Group on the recent completion of the Development Agreement to deliver the first phase of affordable housing at Kings Cross Central.

EC Harris provided development expertise for Phase One of the 67 acre brownfield development, enabling a contract to be finalised and signed by One Housing Group and the Kings Cross development partners.

Phase One of the project will consist of 284 affordable homes backed by HCA grant. This will include social rented homes, extra care housing for the elderly, shared ownership units and specialist housing to meet the needs of vulnerable people.

Alan Williams, Group Development Director at One Housing Group comments; “We are delighted to have worked with EC Harris on the development of Phase One of this prestigious project. Their involvement has been instrumental and we look forward to working with them again on future projects.”

Richard A Jones, Head of Residential and Regeneration at EC Harris added; “EC Harris is pleased to be a part of this significant first step in the residential development of what is a major high profile regeneration project that will transform this part of London.”

Kings Cross Central is a mixed use regeneration project in central London consisting of over £2 billion infrastructure works. The first offices, homes and a university are due for completion in 2012.
