David Stollard Joins as Head of Asset Investment & Finance
for South-East Asia
January 21st 2013
EC Harris, the leading global Built Asset
Consultancy, has appointed David Stollard as their new Head of
Asset Investment & Finance for South-East Asia. David is a
Chartered Civil Engineer with a strong track record in the
initiation, development and implementation of real estate and
infrastructure capital investment projects.
Based out of EC Harris’ Singapore office but with a remit
covering the wider ASEAN region, David will lead the firm’s work
with infrastructure funds, developers, operators and financiers
involved in the large-scale infrastructure developments in the
region over the coming years.
David joins EC Harris from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was a
Senior Manager within their Capital Projects & Infrastructure
team. During this time he advised both public and private clients
across the region on challenges in the real estate, transportation,
oil & gas, water and power sectors.
More specifically, he has been involved in business case
development, options for transaction structure, feasibility
studies, defining and optimising implementation and operational
strategies, operational improvement, and dispute avoidance.
Before moving to PricewaterhouseCoopers, David worked at John
Laing, Tube Lines and Kier, having starting his career at Balfour
Beatty Major Projects.
Richard Marriott, Head of Lenders &
Investors for EC Harris in Asia said: “David’s
knowledge of the region and diverse experience across a host of
different infrastructure sectors will make him a real asset when it
comes to advising clients on complex issues including how to ensure
multi-billion pound infrastructure schemes remain commercially
viable and deliver a secure level of return.”
David Stollard added: “South East Asia is
seeing a massive demand for infrastructure development across the
water, transportation and energy sectors. However, there can be a
high level of risk with schemes of this nature in the region, so
investors will want to see thorough evidence of how these issues
can be mitigated before committing capital”.
EC Harris currently works on the Singapore Sports Hub project
and several other clients across the ASEAN region including Shell
and Changi Airports International.
