The refurbishment is due to be completed in December 2011.
The engagement of EC Harris’ expertise follows
its previous appointment as Project Manager for all works on the

Marcos Uttley, Partner at EC Harris, comments;
“We are delighted to be involved in the refurbishment of such an
iconic Spanish hotel. This historical building, owned by the
town council of Seville, is named after King Alfonso XIII and was
conceived to be the grandest hotel in Europe. It was
constructed to house international dignitaries for the 1929
Ibero-American Exhibition and continues to host
the most high profile guests including Royal families from all
