West Sussex Primary Care Trust engage EC Harris
LLP
[8 June 2009]
Built Asset Consultancy, EC Harris, has
been commissioned by NHS West Sussex to work with the local NHS in
delivering the strategy for the future use of the estate. The
assignment will concern primary care and community health services
in the health economy.
Initial services provided by EC Harris will
involve an estates utilisation survey of the PCT’s existing
facilities. This will include 8 community hospitals,
approximately 20 clinics and health centres, 7 office buildings and
a number of GP surgeries.
Further services will involve the production
of a Strategic Service Development Plan, drawing together the PCT’s
strategies for the future provision of health services with the
priorities for facilities investment identified from the analysis
of the existing estate. It will also support the procurement
of an Express LIFT partner to deliver targeted investments.
Additionally, EC Harris will review and update the PCT’s
business case for developing the Arun Community Hospital.
Russell Gates, Partner at EC Harris, comments;
“We are delighted to be working with West Sussex PCT to develop
their strategy for the future use of the estate. This
provides an exciting opportunity to help make sure the local NHS
has the right facilities in the right place to achieve the best
health outcomes in West Sussex, and we are proud to be supporting
the PCT in their ambitious plans.”
